There isn’t much by way of the County’s cultural landmarks that storied philanthropists Jordan Laby and his beloved late wife Sandra didn’t have a hand in shaping. New West Symphony, Rubicon Theatre and Ventura Music Festival come to mind, but so do countless others, including small and not-so- small community and school-based programs. Whatever the cultural proposal, children and families and access generally always figured into the Laby conversations.
