The Delirium Musicum Story
Founded in 2018 by violinist Etienne Gara, Delirium Musicum is a boundary-pushing chamber ensemble that blends artistic excellence, spontaneity, and a diverse musical identity. Known for their “ferocious and rhythmically mesmerizing” performances (San Francisco Classical Voice), the group captivates audiences with innovative programming and virtuosic energy. Their debut album, Seasons (Warner Classics), received international acclaim for its fresh, dynamic interpretations.
Beyond concerts and recordings, Delirium Musicum engages in groundbreaking projects like Treelogy, a tribute to California’s iconic trees, and MusiKaravan, a traveling performance series launched during the pandemic. Their Baby Concerts, in partnership with USC’s Brain and Creativity Institute, introduce young children to live music in an interactive setting.
Honored with multiple San Francisco Classical Voice Audience Choice Awards and a Global Music Awards Silver Medal, Delirium Musicum continues to redefine the classical music experience. Whether on stage, in nature, or on the road, their performances forge deep connections with audiences, making them one of today’s most exciting and innovative ensembles.
