What the critics say:  “Goodwin’s ability to combine jazz excellence with any musical style makes his writing appealing to fans across the spectrum. That’s why both beboppers and headbangers dig Gordon Goodwin’s Phat Bands…big and small.”  LA Times

Gordon Goodwin’s Little Phat Band, a 9-piece jazz ensemble, celebrates the best of the big band tradition with a very contemporary and original sound.  Through the writing genius of Gordon Goodwin, SRO audiences have enjoyed one of the most craftsman-like hard swinging large jazz ensembles comprised of L.A.’s finest musicians.  Gordon’s witty and insightful arrangements propel the listener on a journey through a myriad of styles: latin, blues, swing, classical, hard-hitting jazz, and even an homage to Looney Tunes!

Listen to a couple of Goodwin favorites “Caravan” and “Summertime“.

Gordon Goodwin’s Little Phat Band includes some members of his BigPhat Band: Eric Marienthal (saxophones), Andy Martin (trombone), Mike Rocha (trumpet), Gordon Goodwin (piano/ tenor sax), Andrew Synowiec (guitar), Kevin Axt  (bass), Ray Brinker (drums), and Joey DeLeon (percussion).

It’s a new concert experience in your own car, at a custom Drive-In with a HUGE elevated stage, light show, multi-media entertainment, LED screens and great sound from your own stereo system via FM radio. The fabulous combination will ensure a good viewing experience for everyone all in a beautifully run, socially-distanced, audience-safe environment.
