(Ventura, CA)—The Ventura Music Festival is presenting a free, post-Thomas Fire “Concert for Ventura” on Sunday, February 25, from 3 to 4:30 pm in Mission Park—on Main Street across from Mission San Buenaventura in Downtown Ventura. Open to all, the goal is to celebrate Ventura’s indomitable spirit through one of life’s biggest unifiers—the gift of live music.
(Ventura, CA) – Each year, the Ventura Music Festival fills venues across the city with top-tier music for two weekends of multi-genre music, dance performances and world-class culture. This summer, the festival is returning with a lineup that promises to be bigger and better than ever. Headlined by genre-defying “little orchestra” Pink Martini and supported by world class acts such as celebrated guitarists John Jorgenson and “El Twanguero” Diego Garcia, the festival has something for every musical taste.
The Ventura Music Festival is pleased to announce that a distinguished philanthropic couple has agreed to “name” the position long held by Nuvi Mehta. Henceforth the director and the position will be known as: “Nuvi Mehta, the Janet and Mark L. Goldenson Artistic Director of the Ventura Music Festival.”
The second annual Ventura Music Festival Cabaret featuring legendary jazz singer Billy Valentine on Thursday, April 20, 6 to 9:30 pm, in the Four Points by Sheraton Ventura Harbor Resort Ballroom, honored Doug Halter and E. J. Harrison & Sons for extraordinary contributions to the community and the arts. Proceeds from tribute sponsorships and dinner and show tickets benefitted the VMF Young Artists Fund.
